New member of staff
We would like to give a warm welcome to Emily Sutton as Early Years Practitioner, she is qualified up to level 3 in early years and has over 8 years’ experience in childcare. Emily brings with her lots of knowledge and understanding about nursery life and has a very high standard.
For those who do not know her, she had previously worked as Early years practitioner in our Toddler for 5 years before she went on maternity leave in April 2018. Emily will start at Springwood on Tuesday 2 March. She will be based in the baby room and will be one of the key people for babies.
Spring Term Tracking
It is that time of the term when staff will be assessing your child’s progress and development. Please use Tapestry to make comments and tell us what you have noticed your child doing at home. Please submit by Friday 5th March 2021.
Parents Observation Tips
Write what the child actually says or does, e.gs letter, words, shapes, numbers, colours.
- Do not make assumptions.
- Upload photos and videos.
Celebrations
We would like to say a big happy birthday to Harrison, Jones-McLean, Joseph Baker and Anya Molyneux who would be celebrating or have celebrated their birthday since are our last newsletter. Have a lovely birthday from all the staff at nursery!!!
Easter Bonnet Parade
We would like to invite you to take part in making an Easter bonnet with your child at home. We will be holding our Easter Bonnet Parade on Thursday 1st April 2020 at 2pm.
The children that are not in on the day can still join in the competition, please post the picture of your Bonnet on our Facebook page or Tapestry to enter into the competition, please put by 1pm on Thursday 1 April.
COVID-19 Safe Photo Day
Photo Day ABC Photography company will be coming into nursery on Wednesday 28th April 2021 at 9:30am to take photos of individual children, Preschool individual graduation and group photo.
If your child is not in on this day and you would like to have their photo taken, let us know. We will have 10 minutes appointment slots to avoid parents congregating outside; the appointments will be from
9:30am to 10:30am.
The group photograph for the preschool children will be taken at 10:30am. I will email ABC photography COVID-19 safety measures in a separate email.
Reminders
Security: Please check the main entrance door to ensure it is securely locked behind you when entering or leaving the building.
Session times: it is really important that you adhere to your session times so we can remain within our ratios. Some parents are dropping/collecting their children too early/late.
Sickness/holidays: Can you please inform the staff if your child is on holiday or off ill by telephoning the nursery on 01925 722 080 or send an e-mail to info@springwood-nursery.co.uk
Update your details: Please ensure that we have the correct contacts details for you in case of an emergency.
