15 Hours Free Childcare

This applies to every child. The term after your child turns three years old; they are entitled to 570 free hours per year.

These are taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year.  You can also take advantage of Stretched Offer, which would allow you to stretch your funded hours to be used throughout the year – approximately working out at 11 hours per week over a full year.

There is no need to apply for the funding as it is automatically applied to each child – However, please select ‘stretched offer’ on our registration forms if you are interested in this.

2-Year-Old funding

Once your child reaches the term after their 2nd birthday, they may be entitled to 15 free early education hours and Childcare if you live in England and receive certain types of benefits.

You may be eligible if any of the following apply to your child:

  • They are looked after by a local council.
  • They have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan.
  • They are in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • They have left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order.

30 Hours Weekly Free Childcare

This scheme is aimed at full time working parents in a bid to offer that little extra support if both parents, or a single parent, is working full time (over 16 hours per week).  For this type of funding, you would need to apply yourself as it is income-based, and you need to provide your personal details in order to apply. This will give you an additional 15 hours per week on top of your statutory 15 (1,140 hours per year total).

Once set up, in order to keep your 30 hours free childcare place, you need to verify your details every three months.  HMRC will send you an email to remind you this needs to be done at the appropriate time.
